So what happened to the old Salon Metro?

Here is an explanation from a couple of stylists:

Mark from the old Salon Metro (one of my eyebrow guys - he is AWESOME!)

Hello, My name is Mark David and I was the manager of Salon Metro and Day Spa.Unfortunately I was not at liberty to give out any of the information as to why the salon was closing at the time that it did however I can reassure you all that the salon will be re-opening next month, February. We are opening under a new name with new ownership but in the same location. The new name of the salon will be called Salon Sublime, it will have an amazing new look comparable to the W Hotel in downtown Seattle displaying the art work of local artist Angela McFadden. We will be offering all services as well as a new department which will offer Medi Spa services.I am sorry that this has been any inconvienience to any of you.And to those of you that may have existing gift packages please let me know, I will contact Tina and let her know.In the interim please feel free to contact me for any private appointments. Thank you.Sincerely.

and another update!

We, the staff of the late Salon Metro and Day Spa would like to thank each and every one of the clients that have remained loyal to our services in this industry and our community.Unfortunately Tina (Mary) Montoya threw us out onto the street with only a weeks' notice which was barely enough time to gather our belongings let alone our business.I had posted a blog prior to this in regard to the "re-opening" of the new salon and so I wanted to update all of you and keep you informed. We are under new ownership by an amazing, motivated and very inspiring young man who is going to unveil a business that Tacoma has definitely been in dire need of. In my past blog I had also mentioned that the new salon would be located in the same location however after much red tape of dealing with a "broken lease" and misleading business tactics left over the sudden departure of Salon Metro, we have found a beautiful and historic piece of property located at 1117 Broadway where the old One Heart Cafe was located. We are currently looking at an opening date the 3rd week of February and will be following that up with an exciting grand opening featuring music, artwork by local artist Angela McFadden, drinks, food and many more wonderful surprises.

We will be looking forward to seeing you there and once again thank you, Sincerely.Mark David, Jen Hoffman and the Staff of the new Sublime Salon and Day Spa, formerly the staff of Salon Metro and Day Spa
